NewsBusse/SJI Offers Enhanced Non-Round Container Handling August 29, 2005
Randolph, WI August 29, 2005 – Busse/SJI Corporation announces a complete re-design of the Model SSP Short Stroke Pusher to offer enhanced non-round container handling flexibility. Busse/SJI has improved the design of the original short stroke pusher to address the marketplace trend where customers are replacing round packages with more and more rectangular containers.
The Busse/SJI Model SSP is a continuous motion device that is used to uniformly feed both round and non-round containers at a right angle. The Busse/SJI Model SSP unit is designed to be mounted adjacent to a perpendicular mass conveyor. It is typically used to uniformly feed containers into a warming or cooling tunnel, such as those offered by Busse/SJI.
The standard Busse/SJI SSP Assembly includes a single file infeed conveyor. As containers travel down the infeed conveyor a product pusher bar travels in an elliptical motion, synchronized with the single file infeed conveyor to produce a very positive, yet gentle method of transferring individual rows of product from single file to mass flow. The result is consistent, efficient product feeding that provides optimal product density on the mass flow surface.
The new Busse/SJI Model SSP design features a robust, clean, square tube support structure. This provides improved mounting and support for the product pusher arms, and allows easier adjustment for use with different products. The standard Model SSP is available in either stainless or mild steel construction.
Each Model SPP is engineered for the customer’s specific application requirements to insure that the unit will perform at the highest efficiency.
The Model SSP can be provided as a stand-alone unit for integration into an existing system or it can be provided as an option for any of the Busse/SJI warmers, coolers or pasteurizers.
