AN INSIDE SCOOP ON THE DAY OF AN ARROWHEAD SYSTEMS EMPLOYEE
Always do better than yesterday – that’s the motto of our Mechanical Design Engineer, Ben Stein. The way he sees it, if you learn something each day, it is never a waste. Ben started working with Arrowhead Systems in the summer of 2015 as an intern for our conveyor division – Arrowhead Conveyor. Since then, he has graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and has become a full-time employee on our talented engineering team.
A huge Marvel movie fan, Ben enjoys the opportunity to solve problems, learn new things, and to absorb all of the information this job allows him. It provides him with an environment to learn and grow – and he has his teammates to thank for that. Ben has said that his favorite thing about working with Arrowhead Systems is the people he works with. They have been patient and easy to work with, allowing a new engineer to grow and learn in such a fast-paced environment. Ben has grown into a very valuable member of the engineering team over the years, his fresh eye has allowed him to work on new and unusual projects. This includes working on projects with new applications, or updating practices to keep them in-line with industry standards.
It’s no surprise with Ben’s inquisitive nature, he recommends future employees to ask as many questions as possible. “It takes some time to get knowledge under your belt,” Ben says, “give yourself time to learn [it all].” Be patient – especially with yourself. In an industry highly influenced by technology, you need to be able to roll with the punches and to be flexible.
It’s employees like Ben that keep Arrowhead Systems a leader in the material handling industry. His hard work and dedication allows us to keep our engineering innovative and reliable. To learn how to be a part of this growing, fast-paced team checkout our website at arrowheadsystems.com/careers
